Michiana MEDA is offering a grant for a Michiana pastor to attend the annual MEDA convention "Business as a Calling." This year's convention is Nov. 5-8 in San Jose, California. Download the application (pdf).

"Through the Garden Gate: An Update"

7:00 p.m. at Goshen College in Newcomer Center Room 19

Lana Mo, Horticulturalist in Afghanistan, works with "Through the Garden Gate" and will talk about the role she serves and give and update on the project.

Lana Mo joined the MEDA Afghanistan team in January of 2007 as the Horticulture Development Manager. Previously she worked in Afghanistan with an American NGO, working to establish vegetable gardens with widows and female heads of households. She holds a Bachelor of Science and a Masters Degree in Horticulture Production from Northwest A & F University in China.

"Healthcare Costs You Can Control"

Dr. Glen E. Miller, M.D. will present practical ways for individuals and businesses to significantly lower the cost of healthcare. Dr. Miller is an author and also works in overseas development.

Shelley Moore, President of the Board for ASSETS Elkhart County, will give an update about the program. More information to come.

 

Thursday, May 13
"Peru"

Dean Rhodes, Associate Professor of Spanish at Goshen College, will talk about his experiences in Peru. More information to come.
